Operation Write Home - Sketch #87

When I first saw this sketch, I thought it would be a good way to use some papers that I've been saving, just because they're pretty and I thought they needed to be showcased and not covered by stamps or other embellishments.  Then the next thing I knew, I was making this card.....go figure.  It's from a pack of kiddie papers, which I really don't have much use for.   I thought it looked bare on the right side.......
Since I was not satisfied with the first card, I decided to dig into my stash of pre-stamped pieces.  I found this gifted stamp of a  truck from a Stampin' Up set that I'm dying to own.  I was a lot happier with the way this card turned out than my first attempt.  This card is much more "me".
And....there goes another weekend!  That sure was fast!    ~Nancy F.

  1. They're both great cards, but I like the truck card too! It looks great with the diamondplate embossing! Nice job on the sketch challenge!

  4. Diamond plating is always a favorite of mine so of course I love that card plus the colors. The other card is great for a kid!

  6. Nancy - both of your cards are great! I really like the paper on the first card - it's so cute (I'm a sucker for stuff like that)! The colors you chose for the second card are very nice together and I LOVE the diamond plate embossing that looks so cool!
