Irene and Sketch 84

Irene is just finishing up in my area with high winds and so I thought I'd better get the jump on her and post this before I lose power...again....  I used paper from Cloud 9, Martha Stewart and Hampton Arts stamps, a Sizzix button die and a Basic Grey brad.  It's my contribution to the new holiday, proclaimed by Sandy at Operation Write Home, Hall-NO-Ween.  I was wondering what to do with all my witches and ghosts and spiders, oh my!
I also need to rant a little about Irene, who managed to cause some water damage in my craft room.  Waaaa!!!
Luckily some of the water fell right into my trays for embossing, some went on the rug (and I blamed poor Ozzy at first....) and a lot got soaked up by a stack of old pin-feed paper that I use for scrap.  She did make a direct hit on 6 any hero cards, of which only one I can save some parts.....  :-(

I told her I didn't do it!!!!!

Better Late Than Never

The Operation Write Home blog skip last weekend was great.   This first card was inspired by Barb at
Paper Therapy Ponderings.
Next, Maureen at Hideaway, had great samples of more clean and simple cards.  I made these and I love them.  I plan to make more in the near future.
Jan at Jan's Gone Digital was next on my list and I used a cute bear stamp that I borrowed from Joanne.
I like this card so much that I made three right away.

Dawn at The Chatty Stamper was the inspiration for this next card.  I really enjoyed making these.  It's been a really long time since I stamped with colors.  Most everything lately has been for Copic coloring.  I made four of these, just because they were so fun.
Well, the winds are starting to really kick up here, which means Irene is on her way, so that's going to be it for now.  Please go to the Stars and Stamps Blog and check out the rest of the skip.  ~Nancy F.

OWH Sketch 82

I can't believe we're up to 82 sketches already!
I focused on fall cards all day.
The pumpkin embossing folder is Cuttlebug but I don't know who made any of the other stuff, because I've had it hanging around for so darn long!  It was time!!!!

A Very Productive Weekend

It was quite a productive Sunday in T-town this weekend.  The Stamp Tramps made cards, ate pizza and drank Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee.  What a way to spend the day - lol.
That's Joanne's work.  The fourth card wasn't put together yet.

It was a day full of scarecrows and crows for Nancy.

And a good time was had by all.....................

Vacation Staycation

It was a banner day for my vacation staycation cardmaking day.  My sister, Linda, the Sailor's mom, spent most of the day cutting, stamping, using a brayer, heat embossing, using the Sizzix and doing just about anything else I threw at her to learn.  The production effort was awesome!
I managed to squeak out a few cards myself.
We tried to get Ozzy to pose nicely for his own photo opportunity, since he was ignored most of the day, but he decided it was time to pay us back for the afternoon he spent alone, moping on the sofa.

In Honor of Ciara

As I was sitting in my craft area, pondering how to honor Private Ciara, I heard a grunt and there was a nudge at my leg, and as soon as I looked down, I knew just what to do.  This card really makes me smile, although the more I look at it, the more I realize I should have put a body below the collar, because it looks like a big floating head, but so geht's.  Maybe the next one will get some revisions........

Obviously, the photo posing didn't go well.  Ozzy was more interested in why his kong was on the porch and why it was empty....  He did say I should make sure to mention that he thinks Private Ciara is AWESOME.
