Just "a little" holiday cheer - coz I'm really lacking in it this year. I did the stencil thing again, because I'm still too lazy to do much else.

More playing with stencils. I like the look of these and the colors. They're also kind of quick to pull together and since I still haven't got my mojo back, at least I'm doing something creative. Thanks for looking! I hope you're doing well and have more holiday spirit than I do!

I'm still having trouble finding my mojo - I found some inspiration from a Gina K. video and went out in the yard and use a leaf, some Versamark and embossing powder to make the base of this card. The sentiment is from a Stampin Up set called Country Blessings I hope you both have a safe Thanksgiving. Fingers crossed that I get some mojo back before Christmas!

This stamp set was a bugger! (Hero Arts) I thought I had a lot of patience, but OMG, I threw out so many first attempts before I got used to this. You really need to be precise with the stamp platform or it's just a mess. Once I got the hang of it though, I was having fun.

As you both can see, I'm still watching Gina K. videos... I liked the actual act of making this style card, but I didn't like my choice of stamps or colors. So I will eventually be back at the drawing board for this style. I think I'm at the point that since I'm finally back to blogging, that I don't want to fall behind and so I'm even going to post my failures. lol I'm also into my second year of trying to make a card a day and so far I'm caught up. But I need to get cracking or I'll have to make a week's worth next weekend....

I'm sending both of you smiles today - and I messed up the second card, I put my Roy G Biv in the wrong order...... I tried to peel it off to fix it, but it wasn't going to happen. Oh well, maybe whoever I send that one to won't notice......

I am almost a week behind in my card a day resolution and so I had to whip up some really quick cards. I just got some new stuff from Rubbernecker, but I ended up using a tiny stamp set from Inkadinkadoo that I've had in a drawer for years. Go figure!
I tackled the shaving cream effect! I was afraid that it was going to be messy, especially after reading all the blog posts about it, but I didn't find it messy at all. I only used one paper plate, and about 20 paper towels. I used the plate from my Big Kick to scrap the shaving cream off the paper and I used food coloring because I don't have any colored ink refills for my stamp pads. I was really happy with the results and I'll probably do it again, after I get some other colors. I only had red, blue and green leftover from dying Easter eggs long ago. The most surprising thing for me was how fast the paper dried. I did have to put it under a heavy book for the night to flatten it out though. Definitely a worthwhile project to try! ~Nancy
Blending brushes are so cool. I got a few at the Dollar Tree and loved them so much that I sent away for a small, inexpensive set. I'm really enjoying them. I've always had trouble with backgrounds and mostly used chalks but these brushes are a lot of fun and I've never had a fail playing with them yet. I used a new set of Gina K. stamps for this one.

I'm still stuck on Gina K. videos and playing with backgrounds and brushes. I am in the Halloween mood today and had so much fun making these that I went way overboard.
