Still Catching Up - Our Daily Bread January Challenge

I'm happy that I've managed to get caught up on this week's challenges, just in time for the weekly sketch coming up tomorrow.  This card is for the Our Daily Bread Challenge.  They donate postage money to Operation Write Home as long as we make enough cards to meet their quota.  I somehow was lucky enough to win last month's challenge and can hardly wait to see what I've won!
Here's my card to help get postage money for January - the challenge was to use dry embossing.  My stamp is from Stampendous.   The yellow paper is really much brighter than the washed out photo shows.
I should add learn to take better photos to my resolutions.....   ~Nancy F.

  1. Congratulations on winning the ODBD challenge last month. I'm sure you will pick out some fun goodies since they have beautiful stamps. Love your card! The flower is beautiful and I like how you added the bling to the centers of your embossed flowers.

  5. Congratulations on winning last month's challenge. I love that big flower on your cards. Love the plaid DSP too! All you need is a photo editing software to get the colors back. I use Creative Memories Memory Manager 4.0 and it is easy to adjust the color. Thanks for sharing.

  8. Congrats on the win! This is such a great design you have used. I want to play today, but I am being pushed to make Christmas disappear. To answer your question on my blog, yes, it sends me to the moon and back. It really is b/c they have a chance to win with a comment.

  9. Nancy,

Your cards are so well balanced in color and size of the components. Your coloring is very adds great dimension to the flower.
I think there are several of us who could use a tutorial on taking better pictures but yours are better than most I take.
